Zeeland East 2019 DE Adam Berghorst talks Notre Dame Visit and potential baseball career

Zeeland East 2019 DE Adam Berghorst has been red hot on the recruiting trail especially since now college coaches attention is all in on the 2019 class.

The 6-foot-6 225-pound prospect was offered by Northwestern earlier on Monday and visited Notre Dame on Wednesday where he was then offered by The Fighting Irish.

“I loved Notre Dame. I liked what I saw about the program they’re doing some good things down there, it’s definitely a possibility. That offer is huge for me,” said Berghorst.

Berghorst is a very skilled prospect on the gridiron but may be equally impressive on the diamond as a Division 1 baseball recruit.

“Michigan State has offered in both sports, I’ve talked to the coaching staff at Michigan and Notre Dame about potentially playing both so it’s definitely a possibility.”

Berghorst has 13 Division 1 offers mainly around the Midwest but it looks like Michigan, Michigan State, and Notre Dame are separating from the pack for the Berghorst sweepstakes. Although Wisconsin could get in the mix.

Berghorst will start his Junior season of baseball in a couple weeks which might slow him down on visits for a while.
