Divine Child grad Aidan Hutchinson (Detroit Lions DE) totaled 21 tackles, five tackles for loss, four sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception over the season’s final six weeks. He led all rookie defensive linemen in tackles and was one of three players in the NFL to have multiple sacks and an interception since Week 13.

  • Hutchinson is the first rookie since 1982, when the individual sack became an official statistic, with at least nine sacks (9.5) and three interceptions (three).
  • Also earning the honor in November, he is the first Lion to earn Defensive Rookie of the Month honors multiple times and joins MICAH PARSONS (2021), JEREMY CHINN (2020) and DEVIN WHITE (2019) as the most recent rookies to win the award multiple times in a season.
  • Hutchinson is the only Michigan player to win a Rookie of the Month award multiple times.
