Two Michigan HS grads looking to become College Football Playoff Champions tonight
The 2018 College Football Playoff on papers appears to be the best one yet as the two SEC programs, Alabama and Georgia will meet with a chance to become the National Champion.
Two players which we'll highlight below trace their roots back to Michigan, as neither signed with Alabama or Georgia out of high school. Both however found their way to their respective University and now will have a chance to become a National Champion in College Football.
Detroit Denby Tech 2008 graduate, Jamar King was working on the assembly line out of high school but following a 2-year stint at Mendocino Community College - JUCO, King received several offers from programs such as; Ohio State, Tennessee, etc. before deciding on Alabama. King, a senior is in the rotation of Alabama's defensive line as the 6'4" 290 lbs DT is a space eater.
Saginaw Heritage 2014 WR Steven Van Tiflin was QB at Heritage High along with 5-star recruit Brian Cole, but walked on following a tryout at the University of Georgia in 2014. Van Tiflin, a junior doesn't have any stats recorded for the 2017 season.
