The D Zone's predictions and breakdown of Division 6 - Round 4
Division 6 Round 4 Overview: Division 6 is the 2nd toughest top-to-bottom division to win, especially for Ithaca, Saint Francis, and Michigan Collegiate who are looking to beat the defending champions Lumen Christi who have had 3 games in a row with a running clock.
Last weeks predictions: 2-2 (8-4 Overall)
Semi-Final #1:
Two years ago, Ithaca edged St. Francis out of the Division 6 playoffs and now that Ithaca is back in Division 6, they'll look to beat the private school located in Traverse City again. Ithaca is fresh off of a 10 point win over Montague who by several people was picked to beat Ithaca. Ithaca hasn't lost a playoff game in the districts, regionals, or semi-finals since 2009.
Prediction: Ithaca 42-28
Explanation: Ithaca proved their doubters wrong and will take it game by game.
Pre-season Rankings: Neither was in the top 25
Semi-Final #2:
In a battle of literally David vs. Goliath, Michigan Collegiate a small charter school with the heart of a lion will look to take out the biggest and most powerful school in Division 6. Lumen Christi had a nice win over a high-powered offense of Watervliet this past week and has athletes and talent around the board. For the Michigan Collegiate Cougars, their heart and soul is Tracy Hubbard an absolute stud who has a never say die attitude. Hubbard is around 2,500 rushing yards and 36 rushing touchdowns this season.
Prediction: Michigan Collegiate 18-15
Explanation: We are the only ones picking MC besides them to pull off the stunner, but Hubbard is going to turn this game in MC's favor.
Pre-season Rankings: Neither was in the top 25
