Saginaw Heritage beats East Lansing to win the 2018 Class A State Championship

Saginaw Heritage defeated East Lansing 57-36 in the 2018 Class A State Championship game on Saturday afternoon.

It's the first time that Heritage won a Girls Basketball State Champsionship since 2002.

East Lansing jumped out to an 8-2 lead early in the 1st quarter, but Heritage responded strong to end the first quarter. Heritage built a double-digit lead early in the 2nd quarter and didn't look back.

Heritage had 4 players finish with double-digit points as Madison Camp had 15 points, Mallory McCartney had 10 points, Jessica Bicknell had 12 points, and Shine Strickland-Gills had 12 points.
